NIOSH Rescinds Five Respirator Approvals Issued to Two Companies

NIOSH recently announced that it has honored the requests of two companies to voluntarily rescind certain respirator approvals. The recissions affect four approvals issued to Kimberly-Clark Corporation (PDF) and one approval issued to ivWatch, LLC (PDF). Respirators bearing the approval numbers listed in the agency’s notices are no longer NIOSH approved and may no longer be used, manufactured, assembled, sold, or distributed. The agency directs individuals to contact the companies for additional information regarding these decisions.
