Safe + Sound Week 2025 to Focus on Emergency Preparedness and Response

Registration is open for Safe + Sound Week, a nationwide event held annually by OSHA to promote worker safety and highlight the benefits of workplace health and safety programs. This year’s event will be held Aug. 11–17 and will focus on emergency preparedness and response. OSHA describes participation in Safe + Sound Week as a way for organizations to help raise awareness about worker safety and health. The event can also help businesses to either start new workplace health and safety programs or reinvigorate existing ones using the resources provided by the agency and its partners. According to OSHA, more than 5,000 businesses participated in last year’s event.

Businesses that register for Safe + Sound Week can access printable materials, activity ideas, and other resources to plan and promote their events. Interactive materials available near the bottom of the agency’s resources page are intended to help organizations and workers prepare for and respond to emergencies. After the event is complete, participants in Safe + Sound Week can download a certificate of recognition from OSHA.
