OSHA Website Updates Organize Agency Datasets on One Page

OSHA has updated and redesigned its website so that all of its publicly available datasets are organized on one page, agency staff informed stakeholders on Tuesday. The changes to OSHA’s data webpage are intended to enhance user accessibility.

Datasets are categorized by topic, so users can find data related to OSHA inspections, occupational injuries and illnesses, and workplace chemical and air sampling. For example, users can access data from industrial hygiene samples taken by OSHA compliance officers from 1984 forward as well as datasets regarding severe work-related injuries and fatalities. Some historic injury and illness datasets are also available, including archived fatality reports from fiscal years 2009 to 2017 and a database of information from the OSHA Data Initiative, which includes data on work-related injuries and illnesses from 1996 through 2011 from employers within specific industry and employment size specifications.
