Assess risk for unanticipated chemical exposures. Make better decisions. Save lives.

When lives are at stake, having fast access to reliable information is critical.

Emergency Response Planning Guidelines (ERPG™) from the AIHA® Guideline Foundation provide planners and emergency responders with threshold exposure levels to aid in the protection of communities from the potential dangers of single, brief chemical exposures. They give you clear benchmarks for evaluating risks in anticipation of or during a chemical release and a practical framework for responding to incidents.

Developed by an all-volunteer committee of experts from diverse disciplines, our guidelines give you FREE access to verified data and supporting science so you can make better decisions quickly, communicate clearly with colleagues and the public, and take action to plan for or respond to sudden exposures.

The AIHA Guideline Foundation’s ERPGs are the only actively updated and freely available guidelines that address short-duration airborne exposures.

We are committed to actively developing emergency response guidelines and making them available to our professional community at no cost. Our committee reviews and adds new chemicals to ensure we address emerging hazards and our guidelines remain a relevant and useful resource for anyone utilizing them in their work.
